Dwight Howard 要灌爆籃框

Magic center Dwight Howard has a never-seen-before idea for the all-star slam-dunk that some teammates and others have suggested he use.

A few days ago I asked if any of you loyal Magic Basketblog readers could name what the idea might be.

Of the more than 70 responses to the blog and to the Sentinel, NO one has got it right yet.

The prize: Your name and thumbnail sketch on this blog. Oh, eternal glory.

Here's a clue before I give you the answer: Think Shaq.

A majority said Dwight would perform his kiss-the-rim dunk, but that's already likely in his all-star arsenal.

There were some creative suggestions.

Slap Maxwell: "Dwight dunks the ball behind his back, grabs it and sets it on fire while Hendrix wails in the background."

Now that, Slap, would be cool.

Cckiske: "Dwight tries to make a jumper, but (it's) blocked by dancer Megan. Then he grabs the offensive rebound, followed by an And1 dunk (and is) fouled by Megan. Then Dwight makes the free-throw."

MdThomas: "I thought he might sit the ball on the top of the backboard then jump up grab it and dunk it on the way down."

Phil: "If I had hops, my idea for a dunk would be to jam the ball in between the rim and the backboard, like it gets stuck there sometimes. Then jump up, yank it out in one motion on the way up, and then throw it down."

Nathannoles: "Dwight is gonna kick the ball up into the air from the 3-point line, make it bounce off the shot clock above the backboard, then while the ball is in mid-air, grab the ball and do a 720 Tomahawk Jam...."

THE ANSWER: Break or bring down the basket, says Dwight.

"That's what I have people telling me --- tear it down! But you know how hard that is to do?" Howard said. "I know Shaq has done it (twice in his career). I don't know. It's never been done (in the all-star competition."
